good gloves, not heavy duty Sep 16, 2011
By a mom to 3 These are great for a younger goalie or maybe a practice pair for an older goalie. The stitching and material are SO much better then the other ones at this price point. You can actually have a full range of motion instead of barely being able to move your fingers. For younger goalies, the foam is so thick and over-sized on the cheap pairs, they can barely even grab the ball once they stop it.
The down side is that because they are not quite as thick, they do wear out, and there are no finger saves. My 11yo loves them, but when in the next year or two, I will probably move him up to thicker foam and finger saves when the boys start hitting a lot harder.

Best Inexpensive Gloves!!! Nov 01, 2011

I've played goalie in competitive soccer for over 15 years and these are the best, inexpensive pair of gloves I've found. I'm on my second pair now. The first pair lasted me at least eight games and could have gone longer, but at roughly $20-$25 you can afford to replace them quicker. The palms are 1mm thicker (33% thicker) than most inexpensive gloves. They don't breathe all that well, but I've never found that to be a problem since you typically want some moisture on your gloves (get 'em wet at least 30 minutes before use). There are certainly better gloves out there, but nothing under $40 compares to these for the money. In other words; instead of buying on pair of $40 gloves, buy two of these!

By danielle I bought these gloves and i really liked them. The grip is really nice and they are more of a tight on your hands. But if you do buy these gloves and you playing a higher level soccer i would buy a few pairs cause they do seem to fall apart on the hands or tip of your fingers.
